Naughty or maybe just a little Curious

My mom gave me great advice about Kendall being naughty. Take a deep breath, then grab the camera, you'll laugh about it later. Its usually not funny at the time, especially when I'm cleaning acrylic paint out of my parents carpet thinking oh shiz please please come out. Finding all these pictures really made me laugh thinking of the memories that came with them.

Not really naughty just a little curious. He was 10 months old, we would tell him no and he would just look up at us and give us a cheesy grin.

He was throwing laundry soap everywhere, and ate a little bit. He was not very happy after he ate it. haha

Anytime there is water near he's not just walking, but running as fast as his little legs will take him.

This is not the first or last time this has happened. Marker and crayon have appeared on other non paper items as well my dads computer screen (ouch) , walls, etc...

I've learned through these past 2 yrs 9 months that if he's being quiet he's usually getting into something. That a minute with my back turned is enough time to make a huge mess. That it's better to have him help me clean up the mess than get mad about it. It may take him a time or two before he won't do it again, but he is learning. That for every mess (frustration) there are a hundred adorable, sweet, cuddly moments that counter act it. Seriously look at that sweet face, its impossible to stay frustrated when he tells you sorry, then gives you a big hug and kiss.

Halloween was a blast this year! After looking at least a hundred costumes online Kendall picked Woody and would not budge. Osker was a cute little owl.
Kendall was sick last year so we only made it to the trunk or treat in our ward building, sort of lame to have a bunch of people lined up and just hand you candy. This year we decided to skip our ward trunk or treat and go to my parents. Kendall loved it! He was cracking up at everyones costumes and totally jazzed that everyone was giving him candy. We were cracking up at him , if anyone had more than one piece of candy in their hand he would take it. They would just laugh and tell him he was cute enough to have two pieces.

After trunk or treat we headed to Rick and Cindy's neighborhood.

His best friend Payton, we didn't plan for them to match.

For Kendalls costume I didn't want to buy a woody outfit he could never use again. We bought the shirt and boots at Gymboree, the wranglers at calranch, an accesory pack with a hat, vest ( which looked like a rectangle with holes at first), star badge, and bandana. I hated the plastic hat that came with the accesory pack so Rick and Cindy picked up a hat at down town disney while they were there. I didn't get a picture of the vest before, but it was terrible! I gave the front shape, trimmed the sides, added a draw string, and sewed around the edges.

Oskers costume idea came from Martha Stewart. The wings would have been huge so I made the wing pattern smaller. The instructions have you iron the wings, but I decided to sew the lines instead. They had a pilot hat, but I didn't have time to order one so I bought a regular baby hat from walmart, cut it to the right shape, sewed it on the machine, then folded it under and then blanket stitched it.

Today my dad turned 61! I can't imagine what those eyes have seen in all those years. I hope when I'm 61 I can be as compassionate as my dad. I've never met anyone who is as willing to help a person in need as him. Example... two days ago my tire was flat and I was running super late. He dropped everything and came to the rescue. He brought a can of goop to fill my tire then ran to leshwab to get the bead put back in, without me even asking. I don't know what I would do without him.

Cheering after they blew the candle out, oh and my first pumpkin pie was delicious!

Two weeks before Osker was born I went into false labor, every day I would have regular contractions for at least an hour usually more. Dr. Allred gave me specific instructions when to go in, contractions lasting 5 minutes apart for an hour. A week before his due date at ten p.m. we dropped Kendall off let him know he was going to have a baby brother the next time he saw us, and headed to the hospital. After two hours of monitoring the contractions stopped, and I was sent home. I had the same style of contractions every night for two hours for a week and two days. My due date came and went, my new instructions for going to the hospital were contractions every 3 minutes for an hour. Two days after his due date I fell asleep with contractions lasting every five minutes. At four thirty in the morning I couldn't sleep through them any longer I was so excited! Finally this baby was going to come. We packed Kendall and dropped him off at my parents house again. We arrived at the hospital at five thirty a.m. My contractions were stronge and close together, but Osker hadn't decended yet. They had me walk up and down the halls to keep my contractions stronge and hopefully get him to move farther down. No luck around eight they sent us home again.

Three days overdue Dr. Evans decided an inductions was in place, I was scheduled for the next day Wednesday the 12th at 6 a.m. He sent me home with all the paper work and instructions to come in if my contractions were two minutes apart for and hour. I was jazzed, finally we were going to meet our sweet baby. My nesting instinct hit hard I cleaned and already spotless house, and put together his changing table. (with lots of help from kendall) Cody came home and made me relax. At eight that night I was starting my normal contractions five minutes apart then they started to progress to every two minutes, after two and a half hours we decided it was time. We made our way to the hospital, after checking, monitoring, walking, monitoring again they finally admitted us! Osker still wasn't descending at a fast enough pace, so they started a pitocin drip.

I love the birthing center at Madison everything is calm and quiet. Midnight came and the anasteologist wanted to go home so it was now or never for an epideral. I was able to manage the pain, but remembered trying to suffer through pitocin with kendall and opted for an epideral. Finally I was able to sleep poor Cody tried to sleep in a rock hard chair till morning. It was a restless night between my monitor going off for no reason, and the nurses coming in and out. At seven the nurses checked and he still hadn't descended finally they decided to empty my bladder, within minutes he had dropped almost into place. Dr. Barton made his way in and I started pushing. Cody and I were basically on our own between the doctor talking on his cell phone, and the nurse chit chatting with my mom. I would look to Cody to tell me when it was time to push and at 8:39 a.m. after ten minutes of pushing Osker Rick Nielson was here!

He was absolutley beautiful, I love the moment when they hand your warm soft baby. Everything was perfect in that moment!

My dad brought Kendall up an hour after he was born, he was so cute with him. I hope their always the best of friends.

He really is such a sweet baby, his little personality is already starting to show. At four days he was already sleeping through the night. It's been amazing watching the relationship between Kendall and Osker grow. Since his birth they have a bond thats been so fun to watch grow. I hope they are always the very best of friends. Kendall runs in every morning and asks where his baby is, if he's crying he'll rub his head and tell him it's ok baby don't be sad.

Since birth Osker had been such a strong baby, the day he was born he was already holding his head up. Now at five months he can almost sit, with a little help pull himself up. I love every stage the warm snuggily stage at birth, starting to smile and respond, and now laughing playing with toys, and screaming with delight. I'm so blessed to be Osker and Kendalls mom I'm grateful for every smile, cuddle, and minute spent with them.

I know everyone who has a mac takes funny pictures like this, but you wouldn't believe how hard we were all laughing. Kendall thought it was hilarious to see us like this. He kept saying I a horse, I a horse. We were on the floor rolling with laughter when he told us he looked like a horse.

Kendall is no longer a baby.... he can walk down the stairs on his own. No crawling or help from the wall. I thought he would be four or five before he was big enough.. Cody and I were so excited for him, but sad that's he's growing up so fast. We would clap and and tell him what a great job he did, right after he's run and give us a hug then say "again!" I think he walked up and down the stairs twenty times today.

One of his best friends the kitty. I don't think it feels the same way, it runs every time it sees Kendall.

17 weeks and our baby is as big as a turnip.

It is 5 ounces and can move it's joints and is making sweat glands

I can feel him or her kicking all the time ...a serious wiggle worm already. I didn't know for sure that I had felt kendall until 19 weeks. So far pregnancy has been a complete 180 from my first. Everyone keeps telling us it's a girl. I guess we'll find out in a month :)

Finding Nemo is Kendall's favorite movie! We found this cute costume on Disney.com and fell in love. I've never seen a little kid so excited about a Halloween costume. He ran all around the house in it and cried when we took it off. He was sick on Halloween, but luckily we took him to our ward trunk or treat before.

My brother and sister in law got married in Cancun last week! While they were gone I watched their two adorable boy Jube and Frank. Kendall had a blast having friends around for a week. Everyday we would do a fun craft and Grandpa Kendall would take them on a ride.

We chopped Kendall's hair 2 1/2 to 3 inches off. I loved his long hair, but love his short hair too. He looks like a little boy now :( He's growing up so fast. In three months he'll be 2 I don't know where the time went.

My favorite 10 sayings by Kendall

1. " you ok"? If Cody or I get hurt he'll run up and put his hand on us and ask "you ok"? It really is one of the cutest things.

2. "Hand" When he wants us to go with him he'll walk up and say "hand" then grab our hand and take us where he wants to go.

3. "Roar I a tiger" the other day we were in the car and he started growling and said "roar I a tiger" he came up with it all by himself.

4. "Red, yellow, red, yellow" He's learning his colors, he'll point out what each of his car colors are. Most of the time he calls them "red, yellow, red, yellow" no matter what color they are

5. "Love we" When we tell him we love him he replies "love we"

6. " Mommy and daddy" I still love when he call for us

7. " I scared" Lately he's been telling us he's scared. I don't know where he picked it up from

8. " Good morning" When he wakes up in the morning or from a nap he'll tell us "good morning" it's really so cute

9. "swoo swoo" I wish you could hear how could it is when he's imitating an airplane.

10 "What'd you doin" Yesterday he came up to me while I was reading a book and asked "Mom what'd you doin" If you ask him what he's doing he'll go into a long gibberish speech about whatever it is he's up to.

New Arrival!

We're excited to tell everyone that baby number 2 is on the way! We're ten weeks along tomorrow and I can't wait for Kendall to have sibling he loves babies and I hope he'll love having someone to play with!

We went to our first ultra sound last Wednesday and found out he or she is 2.92 cm (just over an inch) and is looking healthy. I thought it was cute that our friends Nic and Kirsten would put pictures of fruit to show how big their baby Daphne was getting. I liked the idea so here is a picture showing that our baby is as big as a grape.

I picked out Kendall's name after my dad so Cody gets to pick out the first name of this baby. We'll find out in twelve weeks if we're having a Layla or a baby Oscar. I'll scan our ultra sound pictures soon and post them too!

I'm so excited!!! Today a sweet lady wrote me and asked if I could do a custom PDF print out sheet. That she could purchase then print by herself. I hadn't even thought of doing this, but I think it's a great idea.

The whole thing went so smooth she wrote me today, I made the PDF file, then she purchased them then sent me this picture of cupcake picks.

I'm going to start making PDF files of all my merch so people can print off as many as they want, and I won't have to run to the printer all the time :)

Scrapbooking Weekend

This past weekend my sister kate, sister in laws robin, jennie and arile, my mom, and I got together and had a scrapbook weekend. It was a blast, between watching twilight, shopping, and eating yummy food I only got three scrapbooking things done.

My sister Kate and her friend Ashley are making the cutest scrapbook kits to sell, I'm making exclusive cut out sheets for them. She let me have one of the kits and this is what I came up with.

They make the cutest custom bunnies and chicks. The bunnies and chicks were cut out. All I had to do was ink the edges, add details with color pencils, and assemble. It comes with flowers and an egg to trace on different colors of paper. I used stickles glitter for the centers of the flowers and on the bunnies.

I created all the tags that say happy easter, I'm happy today, ect...

Their selling these cute scrapbook kits for $12.00 a real steal! It comes with 8 sheets of 12x12 card stock, two bunnies, three chicks, flower and egg tracers, and a full cut out sheet! Convo me and I can get you one!

I also made this page for my etsy shop as an example page. I made a easter/spring cut out sheet to sell. My cute niece bree the little model posed for me a few months ago and I thought it was the perfect picture for the page. I created the page by cutting out the pink polka dot background by hand then sewed around the edges. I then used the cricut to cut out the big flourish, leaves, and flowers! After that I cutout the colors of spring tag, bunnies title, sunshine tag, bunny, chick, journal tag, and little mushroom from my new easter cut out sheet. Once I had everything cut out I inked all the edges and assembled.

So I decided that I'd make a post about my sweet husband a little husband tag

Where did you meet your husband? At his house, my friend was trying to set me up with his friend Weston. Cody thought I was annoying haha. A few years later he saw me at a show,ran up and gave me a huge hug. We became best friends then after we moved to pocatello we started dating.

When was your first kiss? The second day he moved to pocatello :)

How long did you date before you got married? One year two month

What does he do that surprises you? Cody is a creature of habit not much surprises me anymore. At first his ability to leave a trail of clothes everywhere he went, his great love for family and friends, and what a kind and good person he is surprised me. I guess now when I watch him play at his concerts I'm surprised by his great talent. It's amazing to see how a person is just born to do something. Cody is meant to be involved in music.

What is your favorite feature of his? His green eyes, I love how they have gold stars around his pupils with specks of brown throughout, and forest green around the outer edges. I also love his hair, it's finally growing out again and I love it!

What is his best quality? Cody is the kindest person you will ever meet. He has such a soft heart.

Does he have a nickname for you? Ken, kenny g, doodie, mom ( when he's talking to kendall)

What is his favorite food? Fish Taco's in hawaii

What is his favorite sport? mmm rock climbing, mountain biking, wake boarding, skiing, long boarding

What is your favorite thing to do as a couple? We love to go on Vacations, camping, going to concerts, just spending time together!

Does he have any hidden talents? he is a master chef! He always cooks Saturday breakfast yumm

Who said I love you first? I did, I was saying things like " I heart you" because I was too chicken at first. I finally said I love you and he just said thanks. Cody is the type of person who doesn't just jump on ship because everyone else is. He had to think about it and it took him a few weeks before he told me he did too. ( I love that about him)

What is his favorite music? Practically everything, not a huge fan of country or indie.

What is his favorite color? Green, but he tells me he likes them all

What do you admire most about him? I admire his passion for life, his smooth ability as a dad, I love that he always faces a challenge head on, he's always the first one to say sorry the peace keeper in our family, he never yells we've never been in a fight, I admire his love for kendall no one has his heart like that little boy, I adore that he looks past my flaws and loves me!

Will he read this? I sure hope so!

Kendall is such a silly little guy, we love playing together. The other day I would roll this sleeping bag at him and he would throw his arms in the air and fall on it. Then roll off the other side.

My mom has a toy chest full of fun toys, kendall loves to be a big boy and explore in the play room. I love this little gun holister we put on him haha. He thought it was cool being able to have toys in it.

It's been a while since I've posted...blah I've been so sick this past week, and now Cody and Kendall are both sick too. Kendall is the best kid ever, he's the only person I know who can have a high fever and still be in a good mood. I feel so bad for the little guy, he's never had a fever before or a bad cough like this. I feel terrible for cody too, he's so miserable. I'm just glad I'm almost over it. It would have been crazy trying to take care of them and myself.

Kendall is walking everywhere, I'll have to post a video of him walking it's hilarious. It's like he's going to tip over any second.

I've decided to take the 365 day challenge... I'm only a couple months late starting. It really wouldn't be like me to do anything on time :) like the fact that I have birthday presents for my brother, cody's brother, and my nephews kaydence and luke, but haven't sent them yet oops. Kendall turned 1 this past monday! It was a blast the night before we had a little get together at Cody's parents house. It was nice that Jordan, Jenny, and the kids were up for the weekend. Our friends Dustin & Camille, Joey, Rayna, & baby Jude also came. Kendall was so funny, he loved digging in his cake and throwing it everywhere. He hammed it up, loving the attention he was getting.

The next day (monday) Cody took off work :) So we headed down to Idaho Falls to celebrate his big day. We first went and took pictures at Sears, because we had a coupon. I think I could have taken the same pictures, it was kind of lame we chose the smallest package for eight bucks. The first couple pictures were adorable,but by the fourth they were all sad pictures of him either crying or looking pissed off. We tried having him stand by the plastic 1, but he would just sit down with his head between his knees and cry. The one we chose was so cute and for eight bucks we got more pictures than I could have had printed for the same price. After that we went to lunch at his favorite Red Robin, he loves the atmosphere of busy places, fun of colors, and yummy food. Our waitress was so nice she had the crew come sing and give him an ice cream sundae. Kendall and I then took a much needed nap in the car while Cody went to Mike's music and Chesbros. We had a hard time thinking of places to go for a toddler on his birthday especially since it's winter, so we went to kid heaven Toys "R" Us haha . We thought of going to the movie Bolt but opted for home since all three of us had colds. All in all the weekend was fun beyond words. I love being able to spend time with family and friend:)

Kendall will be a year old this coming monday and I can't believe how fast it has been. He's such a smart little bug and and has such a fun personality. We are constantly laughing and enjoying ourselves in his company.

He's almost walking! He cruises sometimes runs around the furniture, pushes a walker, and will take four to five steps. He's really starting to get brave.

Grandpa Adams gave him a ice cream cone that had chocolate dipped edges, he devoured it.

Lately he has a need to do everything by himself, by the time he was done he was elbow deep in banana.

He's proud of himself when he can accomplish what he wants to and gets so frustrated when he can't.

haha cheese, anytime I take out a camera he just knows to smile I don't have to make googily faces and weird noises to make him smile for the camera.

With every car or truck he razzes for the it's sound, apparently this poodle (which was an awesome dollar find that I cleaned and doused with bottle of sanitizer) is a car.

Lately I've been trying to get my etsy business up and running, I'm going to try to sell business cards, birthday cards, ect.. and also scrapbook cut outs. The image above is one that i've been working on, it's on an 8.5x11 that you cut out yourself. You can also customize the name cutout, I used olivia just as an example. Once i get a few more designs done I'll get my business up and rolling.

for making new memories. I love the smell of holiday candles, making sugar cookies,

I especially enjoy the closeness that we are able to feel with the Savior and his Son.

Bath time is by far the happiest time of this little boys day! As soon as I take his clothes off and head for the bathroom he starts kicking and squealing in delight! He splashes, kicks, and sings (well screams) It is also one of my happiest parts of the day to see him so happy!

I know every parent says I can't believe how time flies, but really it does. I can't believe my little baby is nine months old. With a tooth and two more popping through, almost crawling, and a personality that is showing more each day. Kendall is such a blessing in our lives I asked Cody the other day what we use to do before we had him, " I dunno watch tv" was his answer haha :) I honestly can't imagine a happy world with out Kendall and Cody in it.

Potty trained? Well no not really, but he did go potty in the toilet! The other night we had stripped kendall down to take a bath. He started tooting like crazy and cody started screaming that he was going to poo. We had no time to get a diaper so we plopped him on the tiolet. It worked no mess, no diaper, and I can't wait till he's really potty trained.

Happy Halloween everyone! We had a fun halloween this year it was a crazy day, we flew in from hawaii to salt lake around noon, drove to guitar center, finally we got home around six. We rushed to get ready I ran to walmart and got kendalls costume ( the monkey costume I was making didn't get finished :( . After all the madness we finally made it to Cody's concert it was a blast. Cody dressed up like flava flav, kendall a pirate and I was a fairy haha. It was an awesome day.

we went to this really neat look out

The past couple of days we've been going to this neat beach that

has had turtles everytime we've been there.

This is the Parker cattle ranch, it has 150,000 acres and once was 1/2 a million. We went

on a tour of their two homes. It was really neat the last family member to live in the home

had a collection of beautiful art from Europe lining everywall.

It's crazy parts of the island are lush and tropical then others look almost like

home, lava rock and weeds.

Kendall Loves the beach, I put him in the water and he loved it! he cracks me up! When I sat him in the sand he kept grabbing handfulls of sand and played with it for a half an hour.

We went to Bubba Gumps for dinner last night and got shrimp and a bucket of trash (eww I know sounds sick bucket of trash but it was yummy shrimp, lobster claws, and fish) My feet are in Forest gumps shoes next to his box of chocolates and suit case. A sign on the bench said "I'm forest, forest gump, you can call me forest gump" haha

We're having so much fun, and can't wait for cody to come :( soon though I love you and can't wish you were all here!

We had fun last weekend Danny the Skeleton Horse, (www.myspace.com/dannytheskeletonhorse) Cody's band had a concert in Pocatello. It was a blast even though there were hardly any people, but there was an awesome turn out this last tuesday at the westwood theatre the crowd was great! It's awesome having great friends in the band, we love hanging out and getting a bite to eat afterword!

Playing at Grandma and Grandpa Nielons house, Kendall found a fun new ride. He can sit and hold on all by himself while I push him around. He thinks it's great! It's been a while since I've posted, Last weekend Cody suprised me with a birthday weekend trip to Yellow stone!(pics soon) This last weekend we went camping with my huge familiy to Palisades, it was freezing at night and so hot in the day so we went home a day early. It was a blast riding four wheelers , shooting guns, and hanging out with our family!

Well we finally got our family blog up and going! We really haven't been up to much, cody is really starting to get his band going they recorded a ep (a few song cd) It's sounding so awesome especially since they made it themselves. http://www.myspace.com/dannytheskeletonhorse. Their music should be up on myspace soon! I've just been doing the normal stuff playing with my cute little boy all day , making a little money working for my parents, and selling scrapbook pages on ebay! Tomorrow we're leaving kendall with grandma and grandpa adams and going to have some fun at lagoon!
